Creating Business Goals in the New Year

Other

It's almost the end of the calendar year, which means now is the time to start thinking about your vision and goals for the next year. Before you jump in, though, it's worth taking some time to learn about the best and most effective way to create goals for yourself and your business.

Reflect on the positives. Take out a piece of paper and list everything you can think of that went well with your business this year. Write as many things as you can possibly think of. Be as specific as you can on this list. What exactly about these things worked? What elements made them so successful?

Be honest about what didn't go well. What tripped you up? What things didn't work out the way you wanted them to? What does your business need to stop doing, or substantially improve, in order to be more successful?

Now you're going to use all the information and reflections you've gathered above to create your business goals for the New Year. When creating your goals, keep them to one page total. This will keep you from overreaching and causing yourself to have too many goals, more than you can realistically achieve. Keep your goals clear and simple.

I wish you the best of luck in your business in the coming year! Please keep me in mind if you or anyone you know has real estate related needs.
